Ferrari has often been called a race team with a production car department such is the legend that the Scuderia has become on the race circuits of the world.

Although there have been barren periods in Ferrari motor sport, the company is the most well-known and probably the most popular team in racing history and the roster of drivers who have donned the famous blood red colours is a who's who of many of the finest competitors to have graced the sport - Albert Ascari, Mike Hawthorn, Phil Hill, Niki Lauda, Gilles Villeneuve, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost and of course, Michael Schumacher.

All talented race drivers without question but they still needed the machinery to take them to Formula One and sports car glories and for the most part Ferrari delivered. Here are a few of those cars and drivers that have helped make up the legend that is Ferrari.
